Floyd Mayweather is one of the best boxers of the 21st century and he’s made a fortune out of beating people on the ring with thousands of people watching from the seats and millions enjoying it from the TV screen. Come to think of it, boxing is a pretty brutal sport, one that reminds us that we – humans – are barbaric creatures. Regardless, Mr. Mayweather has a lot of green bucks on his bank account and he – surprise, surprise – is a big-time fan of luxurious and expensive cars. Come on, he gotta look good arriving to his next fight, right? Besides, what else can you spend millions of dollars on if not gorgeous cars, mansions and planes? If you believe what they’re saying on the Internet, he’s got a few hundreds of millions at his disposal! Tell me you wouldn’t go spending that ridiculous amount of money on super-pricey cars just for the heck of it. It’s called living the life, getting the most of it. And with all those punches that he’s got over his career I bet he needs to push the pedal to the floor in his Bentley or Ferrari and feel the wind in his hair…wait, he’s bold!
More Than 100 Cars At The Champ’s Disposal
Anyway, today we’ll discuss the dopest cars owned by Floyd Mayweather, the man who’s considered to be the greatest professional boxer of his time – undefeated, a 5-division world champion and a pretty humble man, too. He’s actually retired right now so that’s a great excuse to be riding down the blocks in one of his awesome supercars. By the way, in 2014 and in 2015 Floyd was named by Forbes the highest paid athlete in the world! Hey, you still think it to be a good idea to mess with the man on the road? He’ll crash you, believe me, and he’ll hire the best lawyers to take care of the legal stuff. A quick advise – don’t mess with him. Alright, back to the champion’s cars. They say he’s got more than 100 cars in his garage (I wonder how big it is) and likes to buy multiple versions of the same models. Furthermore, he’s got a line-up of black-only cars in LA and a line-up of white-only cars in Miami. Alright, that’s a bit too much, if you ask me, but it’s never been a crime to show off, you know? So, with that kind of impressive fleet it’s hard to pick the dopest cars owned by Floyd Mayweather, because they’re all pretty awesome. Still, let’s try our luck, shall we?
#1 – The Bentley Mulsanne
The all-time champion of boxing has only one Bentley in his garage, so, it’s obvious that it had to be the Mulsanne – the most expensive model from the British brand. And it’s as luxurious as they come, so, for a man who’s got tons of money this is the perfect pick. The car is mighty too, with a V8 engine that’s good for 505 Horsepower and impressive 752 pound-feet of torque. Well, considering that the Mulsanne is pretty heavy and weights about 6K pounds, that strong powertrain is more of a necessity that luxury. And that means don’t expect it to be super-fast or quick with acceleration, because this is not a sports car, this is a luxury car, that premium, high-quality stuff with a classy touch and supreme comfort in those back seats. Speaking of the interior, I have to mention the top-notch material quality, finishing and the tech-packed cabin that’s got all the latest technological features and safety equipment to keep the VIP nice and relaxed. Of all the dopest cars owned by Floyd Mayweather the Bentley Mulsanne is one of the most cozy models in the man’s garage. Another quick advice: if you ever get a chance to drive one of the champ’s cars, please, pick this one! Wait, he’s got a couple of Ferraris, a Mercedes-Benz and a Phantom too? Ok, let me think on that real quick and get back to you!
#2 – The Ferrari 458 Italia
Alright, here’s a bit of that Italian supercar talent that y’all been waiting to see in the Mayweather line-up: please welcome the drop-dead gorgeous Ferrari 458 Italia that looks like it came straight from Jupiter or something, with that jaw-dropping design and crazy aerodynamics. Now, even though it’s not really that strong in terms of performance, the handling is superb and you’ll feel awesome in those tight corners and turns because the 458 is as nimble as a supercar can be. It’s luxurious, exotic, really exciting on the inside and makes you feel like a hundred bucks when you’re behind the wheel, but, again, the main focus with this car is on aerodynamics and downforce, and that’s why it’s amazing on the race-track. So, Mr. Undefeated probably enjoys riding this one in the hood where he came up, and, given the fact that he’s also got a convertible edition, I bet he’s catching a lot of Kudos on the way, too (along with some envious look, obviously). A Ferrari car just can’t be bad, ladies and gentlemen, and the 458 Italia is – without a doubt – one of the brand’s finest one to date. However, it’s not the best Ferrari in Mayweather’s garage.
The Dopest Cars Owned By Floyd Mayweather – #3, The Ferrari Enzo
It’s one thing when you call your next model Italia, the hometown of the company, but it’s a completely different story when you jot down “Enzo” on the nameplate. That automatically means that you gotta roll out the greatest car to date, and that’s exactly what this beauty is – the best in the game. It’s an exceptional work of art and one of the most desired cars on the planet. Under the hood the Enzo packs a V12 engine that’s good for 651 Horsepower and can reach a top speed of 220 miles per hour, which makes it one of the fastest Ferrari cars to date. It’s not a drag-racer, but it’s sure as hell a king when it comes to lapping on the race-track. Some folks don’t life the exterior design and styling, but to me the Ferrari Enzo looks sleeker than most supercars on the market. It’s an acquired taste, I’d say, but one that you’ll fall in love quickly, though. So, speaking of the dopest cars owned by Floyd Mayweather I just had to mention the Ferrari Enzo, folks. By the way, 50 Cent, one of the champ’s biggest friends (who seems to be beefing at this moment), owns one too. I guess it’s considered to be a status climber among black folks who made it big in this life.
#4 – The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG
Make some room for the Germans, my friends, and please let the Mercedes-Benz come in with the gorgeous SLS AMG. There’s one thing that this car has over the rest of the bunch, and that’s a unique design. Supercars are ridiculously fast these days, but, unfortunately, they’re all starting to look suspiciously alike, you know? Thankfully, that’s not true for several models, and the SLS AMG is definitely one of them. It’s got that special, edgy and raw design that makes you fall in love. It’s rocking a super-stylish look that resembles the iconic 300SL Gullwing a lot, the gullwing doors included. And despite the fact that the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is discontinued and has been replaced by the new kid on the block – the AMG GT – it still looks cool and as fresh, hip and dope as it did a couple of years ago when it was first introduced to the world. When it comes to sports cars and supercars the German manufacturers sure do know how to make them: we’ve got Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche…wait, that last one rings a bell. I think I saw it in Mayweather’s garage somewhere.
The Dopest Cars Owned By Floyd Mayweather – #5, The Porsche 911 Turbo
So, whenever Floyd feels like taking a ride downtown to clear his thoughts and enjoy the view, he gets behind the wheel of his exquisite Porsche 911 Turbo and makes that engine roar. This is the king of sports cars and a super-versatile, practical and fun car to drive. The particular 911 that our champ is driving is a convertible that’s pumping out 520HP and can go from zero to 60 miles per hour in 3 seconds plus. As far as dreamy sprinters go, this one is on top of the game, and that’s why it’s in the list of the dopest cars owned by Floyd Mayweather. He also owns a couple of Lamborghini cars (the Aventador, for example, a pretty great supercar to ride around town in), a Bugatti Veyron (the fastest car in the world after the Texas-made Venom GT), a McLaren 650S (come on, a McLaren, guys!) and even a Rolls-Royce Phantom (the most luxurious vehicle you can drive on planet Earth), but this is a subjective list and I just wanted to focus your attention on my personal favorites. I hope you liked them! Anyway, the Porsche 911 completes the article and takes the undefeated champion of boxing back home. If you’ve got your own supa-dupa lists of favorites (I’m sure you do), please, do share them in the comments! I’d love to learn about your personal picks.
