31 years old, born and raised in Akron, Ohio. 6 ft. 8 (2.03m), 250 lb (113kg). Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Mr. LeBron James, one of the best players in history of basketball and one of the most recognized American athletes in the world. I bet even if you don’t like to play ball and never watch it on TV (hell, even if you’re a hater when it comes to successful young black individuals), you do know who this man is. He stands right next to Michael Jordan, who’s like the Michael Jackson of basketball. Now, besides being one of the most talented b-ball players out there, he’s also quite the smart guy and made tons of money on all kinds of commercials and magazine covers. So, with all that said, he just has to own at least a dozen of ridiculously awesome cars in his garage, am I right? And believe me, the man knows his way around gorgeous cars just as much as he knows how to handle that ball. And that’s why today we’ll talk about the coolest and dopest cars owned by LeBron James.
Going Hard In The Field, Playing Hard On The Road
Hey, it’s always interesting to get a little sneak peek into the lifes of the most fortunate, am I right? And besides, from a business side of the deal, supercars are actually a pretty good kick for that hard-earned money, so, even if he doesn’t like to drive much (which I doubt), that still doesn’t mean 1+ million cars are not good for investing (because they are). Back in the day LeBron used to ball in Miami, but since he switched his team he’s now rolling in Cleveland. Either way, he’s still cruising down the block in one of his dope rides. In life King James is a really nice guy and as far as being the greatest at what he does goes he’s all about scoring big and pushing himself to the limit. So, that’s why the cars he choose might seem to some of you a bit out of the picture (not to mention his customizing tastes), but it is what it is. Judging by his collection I can most definitely call him an auto fan. Alright, let’s take a look at the coolest and dopest cars owned by LeBron James and pick our own personal favorites.
#1 – Lambo Aventador – The “Ordinary” Supercar
This one is actually a no-brainer: if you make more money than you could ever count (not to say spend), why not use some of it to buy a Lamborghini car, huh? Besides, this is not just an ordinary Aventador – it’s a custom-made piece of art. Back in 2014 Toys for Boys Miami and a bunch of other talented folks worked together to make this one-of-a-kind thing come to life. Furthermore, it was a celebration, both for the King James Legacy and the LeBron XI sneakers (if you’re a fan of basketball I don’t have to explain to you why a pair of shoes is such a big deal; if you’re not into b-balling, just know that people spend tons of money just to get the latest pair). By the way, the unique texture on the car duplicates the pattern on the XI sneakers, so, in a way, you’re driving in a shoe. How about that? As for the powertrain, this baby packs a mean 6.5-lit V12 that can make all the animals in the block run scared. The price-tag is rumored to be around 650-700K – pretty affordable for the best in balling.
The Coolest And Dopest Cars Owned By LeBron James – #2, Porsche 911 Turbo S
Ok, this is the second car that falls under the category of a must-have for any celebrity out there. Honestly, I don’t even think you need me to tell you all the tasty details about the 911 Turbo S – you already know it better than me. It’s that laid-back, chilling down the block kind of a ride that you just can’t look bad in. On the inside you’ve got a sexy, sleek and edgy design that will make you feel young again (even if you’re an 18-year old kid). As for the exterior, Porsche isn’t called the greatest master of style for nothing. Furthermore, this German princess comes with a 550 HP-strong engine and sporty suspension/chassis that make driving this thing one of the most fun experiences in life. Remember, this is the list of the coolest and dopest cars owned by LeBron James, and it doesn’t get any cooler than the Porsche 911 Turbo S, trust me on that. Alright, so far we’ve got a Lambo, now a Porsche…what’s next, Mr. James?
#3 – Ferrari F430 Spider – The King Of Supercars
Aha, this is the third sportscar/supercar, and – I promise – the last one in the list. Ferrari, the greatest brand when it comes to class-leading fortune-worth vehicles, considers the F430 Spider one of its finest creations to date. This is that kind of car that catches everybody’s attention and sticks in your head for days (weeks). Hey, did you know that the hood on this monster is electric and you can see the 480 Horsepower-ready engine through it? So, if LeBron ever wants to gather the paparazzi and make it into the next newsflash, I strongly recommend him hopping behind the wheel of this handsome Ferrari F430 Spider and going for a ride. Actually, he doesn’t even need my advice, because he was noticed (and photographed and shot on video) a couple of times driving it in public places, so I guess he does like a little bit of that world-wide attention from now and then. Anyway, the Spider is a king, period.
#4 – Dodge Challenger SRT – That True American Classic
Just when you thought that the champ has no love for American-made vehicles and doesn’t know how to treat muscle cars, he goes ahead and buys this race track-ready stud and looks good doing it. This is that ultimate Detroit swagga right there, my friends, the Dodge Challenger SRT, and it’s got the huge wheels and the super-dark tinted windows to prove it. The great thing about this particular one is that it doesn’t have to pretend to be awesome, because it simply is. The Challenger is one of the best muscle cars in the world, one of the originals, so to speak. So, the superstar’s garage is not only cramped with sports cars – he’s got some space for a true United States vehicle as well. I’m not really sure when he gets to drive it, but when he does I bet he’s got a big smile on his face. Of all the coolest and dopest cars owned by LeBron James the Dodge Challenger SRT is most certainly the dopest.
#5 – Maybach 57S – The Weirdest One From The Line-Up
That’s right, King James does love a touch of that royal treatment from time to time. Yep, you guessed it – he owns a Maybach. However, it’s not your typical gorgeous Maybach – it looks a bit like an underdog, even though it’s super-expensive and luxurious on so many levels (maybe that’s exactly what LeBron was going for?) The powertrain is strong (you’ve got a V12 engine that’s capable of 620 horsepower), and the interior is super-gorgeous, with top-notch material quality, all the latest (and future) tech and enough room to fit a hippo. I gotta say that this particular model – the 57S – comes from the Mercedes-Benz Maybach concept from the ’97 Tokyo Motor Show and is, eventually, the next-level S-class in terms of luxury and price. However, due to financial problems and poor sales the Germans had to stop production of Maybachs for good. So, I’m not really sure if Mr. James is still riding this thing, but if he is, it might be called a vintage car in a decade or so and cost millions – just a thought.
The Coolest And Dopest Cars Owned By LeBron James -#6, Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
And the final car in the list is the super-strong Wrangler Rubicon from Jeep. Come on, what kind of a man would pass on a chance to get behind a 4-wheel monster and rule the wild nature on his off-road adventures? I’ve got one word for you to describe this piece of awesomeness – hardcore. Rough, rugged and ready-to-rumble, the Rubicon is born to win and never backs down (just like LeBron himself). Sadly, the greatest b-baller of our time has never been captured by the paparazzi playing around with the beast, and I for one would pay handsomely to see the 6 ft. 8 giant conquering the nature behind the wheel of the best off-roader in the industry. Alright, guys, this was the list of the coolest and dopest cars owned by LeBron James. I was pleased to learn that the King favors muscle cars and off-roaders just as much as he loves sports cars. How about you? You loving the list? Share in the comments!
