Hello, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! It’s another show-day for us, and that means that the gents need to be at their best behavior, and the ladies have to get their fancy dresses on. For me, a auto show has always been a gala-day, like my grandma used to say. And the Chicago Car Show 2015 wasn’t an exception. In fact, it was actually a lot more exciting and action-packed, than I expected.
The Right Cause
First of all, I’d like to draw your attention to the amazing charity work that the organization is doing – they’ve managed to raise over 2.6 million US dollars for the cause – that’s really admirable, guys, so, please, take a moment of your time, and check out their web-site and learn about the tremendous work that these people are doing.
Alright, let’s dig in. Now, as I said, the Chicago Car Show 2015 turned out to be A LOT cooler, than I thought. The Chicago Car Show (or The Chicago Auto Show, as the sponsors like to call it) was always the party for the cool kids, the best event on the block, but, this year, they’ve just skyrocketed to the roof, let me tell you. It was like a celebration, you know, a celebration of cars, brands, companies, people, and, of course, the charity mission. Everybody was here – all the big players in the market (and that includes Ford, Honda, Kia, Audi, and Toyota – naturally). That’s no surprise, as the Chicago show is America’s biggest auto show.
The Big Celebration at Chicago Car Show 2015
Me, I checked out pretty much every little interesting thing there was for me to check out (and it was a lot – trust me), and spend most of my time listening to the executives and vice-presidents talk, the bands play (yep, there even was a cool jazz-band, guys), and, of course, enjoyed the line-up that Toyota brought out to the Chicago Car Show 2015; and it was quite a collection, I must say. The Japanese rolled in pretty much every brand they’ve got in the United States market, including new editions of Camry, Corolla, Tacoma, Prius, the conceptual FT-1, and many others.
Toyota’s exhibit was located at the South Building of the McCormick Place. They even organized a live performance of indie singer-songwriter Ryan Betty on February 21st. Now, this guy is one to watch out for – he’s only 19, and has already proved himself to be one of the brightest young stars in the music industry. Yeah, that was a great thing Toyota did, I really enjoyed the concert (my good buddy got the tickets for me, so, thank you, Jim! Beer’s on me).
So, the Chicago Car Show 2015 was a really beautiful event that lasted for nine full days. (By the way, attendance got a big boost this year: + seven percent). And for those nine days, everybody who was at the show took a lot of great memories with them from the Windy City.
