His name is Bruce Wayne, but in the streets they call him the Batman. He’s a scary big fella in a black suit and a mask with horns on it (or, rather, “ears”, like a bat). He fights crime in the city, beats all kinds of criminals half-to-death (no, he never killed a person) and always finds a way to deal with even the most dire circumstances. Furthermore, Batman is a billionaire (thanks, mom and dad!), knows how to throw a party and lives in a gigantic mansion. Oh, and yes, he owns a drop-dead gorgeous (and extremely lethal) car that’s called – wait for it – the Batmobile. Right now Bats is doing pretty great, with the Gotham TV-show on Fox, the upcoming movie where he’s supposed to stop Superman himself and the amazing Arkham Knight video game. And that’s exactly why I decided to talk about 5 real cars that Batman could drive – he’s in the spot right now and back into our hearts – for good.
Fighting Crime With Style And Passion
By the way, if you’re a DC superhero, you gotta have at least one trump up your sleeve, something that’s gonna set you apart from the rest and become a legend on your city streets. Batman is an honest, idealistic, God-fearing fella who dedicated his life to making Gotham a better place. And he does that with the help of his super-fancy Batmobile that would probably cost about 50 million US dollars in real life (you’ve got a cosmic powertrain, a bullet/rocket/missile-proof architecture and tons of army-grade weapons, from a mini-gun to a turret). Hey, if you’ve been a fan of the Dark Knight, then you must’ve dreamed of driving his wonder vehicle, right? Just imagine: you’re stepping out of the Bat Cave in your one-in-a-million costume, getting behind the wheel of the best car in the world and driving into the night to defend Gotham. Unfortunately, this can never happen. Fortunately, I’ve compiled this list of 5 real cars that Batman could drive so that you have a real chance of feeling like the man himself, although the following models will cost you a fortune.
#1 – The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento
Now, you have to understand that the Batmobile was first introduced back in the ’40s, when none of these cars were even technically possible. So, it’s a fictional, imaginary vehicle. Still, with just the right paint job and maybe a few customizing tricks here and there you will be able to turn the Sesto Elemento into a real-world ride for the Bats. I mean, a Lamborghini seems like just the perfect fit. The exterior design and styling are superb, with sharp, sleek and sexy lines and a futuristic attitude – just what the doctor ordered. Besides, the aerodynamic contours bring the Bat Symbol to mind. Under the hood the Sesto Elemento (quite the name, huh?) features plenty of raw power and packs a 5.2-lit V10 engine that’s good for 570 Horsepower. Overall, there were only 20 units made, so, if Batman was driving it somewhere in the streets of America, I bet someone would eventually catch him on his/her cell phone and the world would learn about his true identity.
5 Real Cars That Batman Could Drive – #2, The BMW i8
Germany knows a thing or two about style, class and premium quality, and the upcoming BMW i8 is probably the most futuristic car in the list. And despite the fact that this is actually an EV (electric vehicle), that doesn’t make it any less of a solid ride for the Dark Knight. This baby is packed with all kinds of technological equipment and features (no, you won’t find a “Missiles Fire” button in there) and boasts a one-of-a-kind design that could set just the right mood for the Gotham hero to roll in and save the day. The BMW i8 comes with an attractive black paintjob that looks awesome in conjunction with the blue headlights and that’s why it seems to me like the right car to fight super-villains with. It’s super-fast, gorgeous, futuristic, forward-thinking and epic. Of the 5 real cars that Batman could drive the German beauty is officially confirmed for mass production, so, go ahead and cop it!
#3 – The Maybach Exelero
Bruce Wayne is a pretty lucky guy, because he’s got his parents’ money to enjoy, and that’s why the 8 million dollars-worth Exelero from Maybach would be just a regular purchase for him. Well, not quite: the unique fact about this model is that it’s UNIQUE. Aha, there’s only ONE Exelero in the whole white world, so, now you know why it’s so ridiculously expensive. This is a one-time deal, folks, and the company’s engineers manufactured it at a special request (I wonder who’s the lucky guy driving it?) This stud comes with a twin-turbocharged V12 engine that’s capable of a max speed of 218 miles per hour, which is right about what the Batmobile is capable of. However, there’s a big downside to the Maybach Exelero: it’s super-exclusive, and folks would most definitely find out who’s behind the wheel. Still, the Dark Knight could drive it only as Bruce Wayne, right? Either way, this is the list of 5 real cars that Batman could drive and the Exelero is as close to the Batmobile as it gets.
#4 – The Morgan AeroMax
This is that classic type of car that would be a perfect match for the Superhero: if Bats would drive this piece of metal awesomeness, we would add a couple of bat wings around back, new headlights upfront, a couple of miniguns on the sides and probably a turret on the roof. Other than that, the original model looks good enough to be called Batman’s ride. And he would look super-cool driving it in his black suit, with Robin or the Batgirl sitting right next to him. The AeroMax is the coupe edition of the Aero 8, Morgan’s pride and joy on the market of luxury cars. It’s a British company, so I guess Alfred would approve. There were only 100 models made and the vehicle features some serious retro styling and comes packed with a 4.8-lit V8 engine. I gotta say that a couple of real-world celebrities own a Morgan AeroMax today, so, knowing how much of a playboy Bruce Wayne is, I bet he wouldn’t say no to the chance of driving a 100% classic car. After all, he’s a classy guy – Bruce and Bats.
5 Real Cars That Batman Could Drive – #5, The Nissan Blade Glider
Come on, you can’t create a car that looks like something from the Tron movie and call it Blade Glider! This super-techy and cold (in a good way) model could very well be the vehicle of choice for Batman, as it fits his dark-but-sexy style perfectly. It simply looks like the best transport to roll out through the mansion gates and make everybody jealous. So, the Blade Glider is definitely one of the most impressive conceptual cars to date and it boasts some truly awesome design and styling features that make it stand out in the crowd. Actually, the prototype was once officially scheduled for production, but the heads at Nissan thought that it would be a good idea NOT to go ahead with the plan (I’m not really sure why they did that). However, at the end of the day, the Blade Glider has some kind of a Gotham vibe to it, don’t you agree? Alright, this was the list of 5 real cars that Batman could drive. I hope you had fun scrolling through the potential candidates with me! Drive safe, appreciate the roads and remember – Batman is always there for you, watching even if you can’t see him.
