The 2016 edition of the Toyota Camry Hybrid will probably be just a slight redesigning and re-polishing job; that’s because Toyota made some pretty big changes in the 2015 model. That was a bit unexpected, to tell the truth, as the last makeover before that was not so long ago – in 2012. Now, the thing with the automobile industry is, they don’t really make significant changes that often. The unofficial, but well respect rule is – “Don’t change anything until it’s time”. Well, everybody decides for himself, when that right time is, huh?
Ok, so, bottom line is, me, and a lot of experts in the business think, that the 2016 Toyota Camry Hybrid is not gonna go through major remodeling; it’ll be the same good old Camry, with just a few nice features and tricks.
Good Old Soldier
Alright, welcome to the 2016 Toyota Camry Hybrid Review. As we all know, Camry is one of the most loved and respected hybrid sedans in the industry; that’s partly because it feels like a “regular guy vehicle”. The 2015 model had some work done on its exterior, including the lights, and today, it looks edgy and aggressive. Plus, Toyota’s engineers added a lot of new colors to the collection. The 2016 edition will provide us with an even bigger choice of colors (that seems to be really important in terms of pleasing the customers; I guess everybody has their beloved color, right?) Aside from the color plethora, I don’t predict Toyota to add anything more to the exterior of the Camry Hybrid, and, honestly, when I take a look at the 2015 edition, I don’t really blame the Japanese for being lazy. It’s not laziness, it’s wisdom. Don’t change something that proved to be amazing over the years, right?
A Level For Everybody
Ok, so, since this is a 2016 Toyota Camry Hybrid Review, we gotta talk about the interior, and the engine – that only seems fair. Me, I personally expect some changes in the interior, mainly, I want high-quality materials, and some new technological features. The 2016 Camry Hybrid will offer three trim levels, which are LE, SE, and – yep, you guessed it – XLE. LE is the standard version, with pretty much everything an ordinary customer would want – nothing less, nothing more. The SE, on the other side, is gonna be designed in a more sports-car manner, with stylish cues to get the resemblance. The XLE is for the big guys with big bucks. It’s got leather upholstery, and a 7-inch display. More about Hybrids here.
Engine Specs in 2016 Toyota Camry Hybrid
The powertrain of the 2016 Toyota Camry Hybrid is gonna be built around a 4-cyl, 2.5-lit gasoline engine, capable of up to 178 HP; plus, there will be an electric motor, and a battery pack. Now, with the combined might of gas and electric, the 2016 Hybrid Camry is capable to achieve even more Horsepower – around 200. That allows it to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 7.6 seconds. Furthermore, the fuel-efficiency is also great.
The price tag is expected to be in the same range, as for the 2015 edition, starting around 27K – and for each trim level you’ll gona have to throw in an additional 1K, or so. The release is expected sometime in the mid-2015.
Ok, so, that was my 2016 Toyota Camry Hybrid review. Stay tuned, and stay frosty, folks! And see my review of Camry 2016.
