Hey there, ladies and gentlemen! Today I’m gonna tell you all there is to know about Toyota’s 2016 Mid Size Trucks. Exctied? You should be. The Mid Size Trucks are a really big play for any automobile manufacturer; they’re like the cornerstone, the face of the company. So, everybody wants to lead in this market.
And, because of that, there’s gonna be a lot of changes in the segment in 2016, and, even though the Asian mogul pretty much dominates it, some serious competition is on the rise. And plus, in the years back, Toyota had some problems with holding the №1 spot. So we – the fans – are just gonna have to wait and see who will be the smartest and the grimiest to outrun the rivals. And for now, let’s take an up-close and personal look at what Toyota’s got in stores for us.
2016 Toyota Tacoma
Like the Camry, or the Corolla, Tacoma is Toyota’s baby – you know, the brand, that they really love, cherish, and spend every little dime on. In return, this brutal-looking mid-size truck got some sweet money for the company. If you want me to name the truck of the decade, I’ll say Tacoma. It’s that brand that everybody knows. The words “Tacoma” and “Mid-Size Truck” are like synonyms for each other. And so, the 2016 Mid Size Trucks list would be empty without Tacoma.
That’s true. It’s got a huge fan base, full of loyal customers. You know those hipster-looking dudes with beards, those jocks with big muscles, those nerdy guys – they all love and respect Toyota Tacoma. Even the ladies like it. It’s like a workhorse – never breaks down, never runs out of gas, never disappoints.
Now, as I said, competition is rising, and the 2016 Mid Size Trucks rivalry is gonna be hot. So, Toyota is making some serious steps. You can expect the 2016 edition to go through some major redesigning (the last one was in 2005), and that includes the exterior, the interior, colors, wheels, dash board, seats, pretty much everything ((no official word on the engine, though). The price tag is estimated to be pretty much the same as on the 2015 edition.
2016 Toyota Tundra
The Tundra has been Toyota’s pride and joy for a whole decade, and today, it’s transformed into something one can call and ideal Mid-Size truck. So, no less is expected from the 2016 edition. This brand is considered to be one of the most reliable trucks in the market – and that’s the biggest complement you can give to a truck. It’s a popular choice for those people, who want stability and consistency.
I have to say, though, that lately, Tundra had to go through some tough times – the sales went down, and, what’s more important, the customers weren’t 100% happy – and that’s a bad sign. Ever since Ford made their major move, Tundra went into dark, but, with the 2016 Toyota Tundra launch, the brand has a second change to get its game back and fight on.
Toyota officials claim a big refreshment is coming for Tundra – that’s gotta be something big, something, that’s gonna helps the brand make a stand. The thing with this car is, it never really competed to be the most powerful, and its main role was to be pleasing for those people, who don’t just need more Horsepower, but want a good-looking, comfortable vehicle. So, my guess is, that’s what Toyota is gonna focus on. The price is gonna be around 40K.
2016 Toyota Hilux
If you spend your entire life in The States, and never really was a fan of traveling, than this name is probably new to you. That’s ok; ’cause, up to this day, the Hilux was available only in certain countries around the globe. But, in 2016, that’s gonna change, and Toyota is about to introduce this bad boy to the American customers. There’s some buzz around, that, allegedly, Toyota is gonna switch the Tacoma with the Helix, meaning, no more Tacoma for us. But I don’t believe that. That’s kind of a bold move, and not a thought-through one.
So, with the new Helix, we’re gonna get a lot of fuel-efficiency, and a new chassis. The price, by the way, is gonna remain the same – about 20K. Pretty cheap for a monster like that, huh?
Ok, so, you can see now, that the 2016 Mid Size Trucks battle is gonna be an epic one. If you’re also a Toyota fan, let’s bet together, that the Japanese are gonna steel the show once again. They’ve got some pretty great cards on their hands, so, the victory is a must!
