Hello again, my fellow enthusiasts! I’m back, and ready to rumble. I got a couple of friends, you know, really athletic guys (very nice people, too), and they’re in love with everything SUV-related. They must’ve tried out about a hundred of them or so, and right now, they both drive the Highlander Hybrid. That got me really excited. The thing is, they almost NEVER drive the same car – it’s like a motto for them. But, this one got them to overstep this life-long tradition.
My friends tell me, that this is, and I quote, “An ideal car for a man in his 40s, who has a family, and drives safe on work days, but on the weekends – pushed the pedal to the floor and enslaves the deserts off-road”. That’s a pretty big statement, so, I figured out that I need to take an up-close and personal look at this big boy, and see for myself, if it’s the real deal. Well, it is, ladies and gentlemen, let me assure you in this 2015 Toyota Highlander Hybrid review.
Big Fellas Ride
Now, I gotta tell you one thing: this car is for the rich kids – the average price is circling around 50 thousand dollars; It’s worth it, though. So, if you wanna tighten your purse strings, and save some nickels and dimes, this baby would be one of the best investments in your life.
Alright, guys, let’s talk about the good stuff. First of all, the Highlander Hybrid is really easy and enjoyable to be in – I’ve been in both of the Highlanders, that my friends drive, and let me just tell you – they had to use force to get me off the wheel. Well, I’m kidding, but, you get the idea. The interior is really roomy, you can fit up to 7 people in it, the materials are high-standard and everything just looks and feels awesome. Plus, the Highlander got that fuel-economy system that takes SUV fuel-efficiency to the next level.
2015 Toyota Highlander Hybrid: All In One
Ok, so, my 2015 Toyota Highlander Hybrid review wouldn’t be full, if I didn’t tell you about the features, which are: 19-inch alloy wheels (they look pretty cool), LED lights, fog lights, a Sunroof, keyless ignition and entry, automatic climate control, leather upholstery, and finally, ventilation and heating of the front seats. Impressive, right?
That’s not all! Technological features include a great navigation system, a back-up camera, a blind-spot monitoring tech, an awesome 8-inch touch screen, Bluetooth and USB ports, a 12-speaker (yep, that’s right) audio system, and a satellite radio. Oh yeah, I told you this is the real deal, didn’t I? You can even get collision notification, roadside assistance, a stolen car finder, and – yes, you heard me – an entertainment system with a 9-inch display. That’ll cost you additional money, of course.
Alright, this is a 2015 Toyota Highlander review, so, I’ve gotta tell you about the powertrain. So, the Highlander is run by a 3.5-lit V6, combined with a couple of electric motors and a battery pack. Total might is right around 280HP. Transmission is automatic, and it’s a four-wheel drive. This mighty fella can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just under 8 seconds (that’s 7.9, to be exact). It’s a pretty great acceleration for a SUV this big, let me tell you.
