Welcome back, everybody! Join in – grab a drink and have a seat; we’re all friendly here, and we’re always happy to see new faces. Ok, so, today is not just another day in the office, because this time we’re gonna talk about the 2015 Toyota Car Show; the 2015 North American International Auto Show, to be exact (the thing about the North American Show is, Toyota always goes big with it, so, me and my friends, we like to call it the Toyota Show, you know?)
Ok, so, I’ve been there, spend a lot of time at the event, and really enjoyed it too. Me, I’ve got a special connection with everything that has to do with car shows, especially if the “host” is Toyota – always had.
A Happy Childhood
Back in the day, when I was a mischievous kid, I used to run off to the nearest car shows in town. Well, no, not exactly: I was NOT a bad little fella, I was pretty good, all things considered; it’s just that I had a great family (yep, the one that I’ve told you so much about), and my Dad, or sometimes even one of my many uncles, would take me to one of those shows. We had some great times attending pretty much every auto-show that we could make it too, and I still, to this day, try not to miss any relevant events in the segment. And the 2015 Toyota Car show is definitely not one to miss.
Alright, so, what can I tell you about the 2015 Toyota Car show? First of all, it was really glorious – shiny new Tacoma, 4Runner Prius, Corolla, Camry, and many more (I’m not gonna tell you about this guys in details, ’cause I already did that in my reviews – go check them out right now, I promise you won’t get bored), plus, beautiful women at the stands, and the press-conference of Bill Fay, group vice president and general manager of Toyota in the United States. Nothing special about the man’s speech, actually, it was just nice to sit there and watch a nice oldschool American talk about the Japanese manufacturer’s great success in the US, and the steps the company’s taking to further improve the dominance in the industry.
Personally, I wanted to see at the 2015 Toyota Car Show the new FT-1 Concept, and, gotta tell you – it’s pretty awesome. I mean, nobody really told me anything new about the car, but, I don’t really need to know much to be excited about stuff that I like. And the FT-1 is an exceptional beauty, so, I’ll keep my eyes and ears open to catch the latest news on this one.
Plus, I got to see the conceptual Toyota FV2 and i-Road. Well, all I can say is that they look compelling, and really Blade-Runner-like; I mean, that futuristic style makes me think of the cyber-punk stories, you know, the kinds, where corporations have taken over the world, and there’s chaos and destruction everywhere, but the hero saves the day. Maybe he’ll even drive one of these cars. Or, better yet, I’d like to see the hero drive the aforementioned FT-1 – that’ll add him some cool points!
